PTS (Programme & Technical Services)
Programme and Technical Services (PTS) is our project delivery arm. It works across all of our market sectors and is the place where we recruit the majority of graduates each year. PTS has four types of Practice groupings:
Offering Practices
These define and own PTS Offerings - dynamic and entrepreneurial, with an emphasis on defining business solutions for our customers. People from these practices typically take a lead in defining our offerings , supporting the sales process and delivering business solutions to clients.
Engineering Offerings - delivers science, engineering and technology solutions for our clients’ mission-critical operations across all market sectors.
Enterprise Applications Offerings - delivers enterprise-wide information from a single database designed to coordinate all the resources, information, and activities needed to complete business processes such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Financials, Projects, Human Resources and Customer Relationship Management.
Case Management Business Offerings - deliver unique solutions designed around a flexible framework that can be applied to most conventional sectors such as law or healthcare, we also go beyond these areas to provide dedicated support to clients where needed.
Customer Services Business Offerings - focused on flexible solutions that help our clients to develop innovative new services and to successfully deliver large, customer-orientated projects and programmes.
Trading Payments & Settlements Business Offerings - Delivery of applications which drive high transaction volumes. Many of these applications lead to subsequent finance transfers via trading, payments and settlement processes between banks and other financial service providers, but the Practice applies knowledge of this sector to other applications which trigger such payments and have to be built to similar standards.
Lifecycle Practices
These are involved in every engagement, these practice capabilities permeate everything we do. They focus on the processes and techniques by which we deliver successful projects including project management , security, testing and transition to support.
Project Management
Data Migration, Testing and Transition - provides a focal point for project test, transition & data migration in the UK. It focuses on specific aspects of validation, verification, thought leadership in the field and testing, requiring distinct skills, expertise and experience that are high value-add and are client facing. These capabilities can be sold as an external offering in their own right or as part of a wider solution.
Security and Identity - our security professionals work with our public and private sector clients delivering a range of security services from consultancy, design, architecture, implementation, evaluation and through to managed services with our colleagues in outsourcing.
Technology Practices
These comprise people at all levels who build technology solutions to solve business problems at the required price. Drive productivity through re-use, solution accelerators and reference architectures. Engage with clients as trusted advisors.
Solutions Architecture - specialises in the overall technical design of IT solutions of all types, using a range of methodologies and frameworks.
Microsoft
Oracle - looks at how information and data, properly organised and exploited, can help an organisation to meet its objectives more efficiently and more profitably.
Technology Partners - focuses on key non-Microsoft and non-Oracle technical domains like Java/J2EE, Open Source, IBM, TIBCO, Software AG, Adobe technologies to name a few.
Graduate Practice
This is the entry point for graduates into PTS and develops foundation skills allowing our graduates to transition into one of the other practices as they develop their careers in the organisation.
