Our requirements
To join Logica on any programme, you must have the right to work in the UK.
Graduate programme and industrial placements
Our graduate and industrial placement programmes are challenging. You will therefore need to demonstrate that you have the potential to meet these challenges.
Academically, this means you’ll need:
1. 2:1 or above (expected or obtained) in your University degree in:
- IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
- Maths, Science or Engineering subjects, ideally with a technical background
- Business or Management Studies (with an element of IT)
2. 240 UCAS points at A-Level (or equivalent), achieved during the same academic year, excluding General Studies
3. At least a C-grade in both GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
Please note: We will require proof of original certificates for all qualifications.
These requirements however are not set in stone. If they can demonstrate an excellent understanding of business technology, we’ll consider applicants with degrees in other subjects. Likewise, if an applicant has strong and relevant business experience, we’ll be happy to consider mitigating circumstances around examination results.
Many graduates spend their early years as testers, programmers, systems analysts or in IT support roles. If you have a good knowledge of structured programming languages, databases or platforms, this would obviously be an advantage.
What’s certain though is that you’ll have first-rate communication skills and a strong customer ethos. We’re a people-driven business through and through. On every assignment, you’ll need to demonstrate that you understand the client’s business needs. As well as being articulate, you’ll need to have a flair for listening and engaging with people.
Right to work in the UK
We welcome applications from anyone who is legally entitled to work in the UK.
Work permits are not needed for industrial placements if you are an overseas student studying at a UK university.
If we invite you to an assessment centre, we’ll ask you to bring documentary evidence of your right to work in the UK with you. Documents acceptable as evidence include:
- A UK or European Economic Area passport;
- A letter from the immigration authority or a stamp on your passport showing you have the right to remain and work in the UK.
Due to the large number of applications we receive from resident qualified candidates, we are unable to sponsor work permits for graduate roles under current UK Border Agency guidelines.
If you have a restriction on your right to remain and work in the UK you will need to show us how you intend to extend this right.
